Filled with magnesium, essential minerals, and known as the richest source of antioxidants than any other food in the world, in its raw state cacao is a superfood. Combined with Chia seeds and, this is a great decadent dessert when you are craving something chocolate. Chia seeds are also a mild laxative, aiding constipation.
- 1/2 cup chia seeds
- 2 cups of coconut milk
- 2 tbs. of maple syrup (or another sweetener)
- 1 tsp. of raw cacao
- 3 pitted dates
- 1 tsp. of cacao nibs, coconut shaving, or maca (optional)
Mix the chia, coconut milk, maple syrup, dates and raw cocoa in a blender. Cover and place in refrigerator for 3 hours or overnight. Add cacao nibs and any other toppings! Enjoy!
