Other symptoms include sadness, low mood, low interest in activities that usually bring you joy, exhaustion, irritability, postpartum anger or rage, feelings of guilt, worthlessness, negative body talk, and withdrawal from activities.
Physical symptoms like body pain are also common because depression and anxiety can manifest physically. Intrusive thoughts, particularly negative or suicidal thoughts about yourself or harming your children, are key indicators of postpartum depression.
